southern countryside & Village experience

Enjoy a day excursion down South passing by centuries old churches and colorful markets; impressive church facades, and religious shrines. Most significant is the church of Carcar dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria; and the Theotokos Shrine (Mother of God). Final stop is Carcar Town, alive in a blend of Spanish architecture seen in ancestral homes and local artistry in crafts like shoe–making, basket weaving and delicacy cooking. Experience authentic village life in a water buffalo “carabao” ride, a tricycle spin to the market, a drink of fresh coconut wine and a taste of local dishes for lunch in a grill restaurant. Head back to the city after some shopping at the local shoe fair.

ISLAND HOPPING

Take the sun and fun at its best! Drive to Mactan Island as a jump off point where you board a motorized outrigger canoe called “banca”. Get excited as you motor to some coral islands in the Mactan channel. Snorkel in a marine sanctuary, go fish feeding or swimming along the reef of HILUTUNGAN ISLAND. Have a picnic lunch and doze off on the white sandy beach of NALUSUAN ISLAND (if the tide is low). Then return to your hotel at mid afternoon after a unique brand of relaxation and fun. Don’t forget your beach sandals, hat and sunblock lotion for ultimate comfort.

KAWASAN FALLS adventure

Begin your day with a three hour and a half drive beyond the mountains to Cebu’s southwestern coastline. Pass through interesting countryside of old stone churches, colorful markets, roadside crafts and villages with panoramic vistas. Midway make a short stop in Carcar and enjoy a snack of local delicacies. Then drive up the mountains of Barili, down to the southwestern coastline, past scenic towns of which the most popular is Moalboal, known as “Cebu’s diving paradise”. The next town is Badian, where you start your thirty minute trek to the two layered Kawasan Waterfalls. Get a splash from the gushing waters while balancing on a bamboo raft! Enjoy a picnic lunch by the falls; swim in cool waters before driving back to the city, late afternoon.

whaleshark encounter & SCENIC OSLOB

BOHOL in a DAY

Enjoy  a day of scenic grandeur and adventure. Start with a fast ferry ride for an hour and forty minutes to Tagbilaran the capital city of Bohol. Upon arrival, proceed on a country side tour passing by major landmarks; The Blood Compact Site; centuries old churches; a man made forest; the famous Chocolate Hills, uniform in shape and brown during summer time resembling "chocolate mounds". Finally, you come to the scenic Loboc River. Cruise down the river while taking lunch on a floating restaurant. Take time for an encounter with the Tarsier, the world's smallest primate. Take home a souvenir and catch the late afternoon ferry back to Cebu.
